Malaysian XI 0 - 2 Chelsea | Malouda Stays - Scolari

Scorers: Anelka (25'), A Cole (52').

Starting Eleven: Cech (Cudicini 64');
Essien, Carvalho (Alex 45'), Terry (Ivanovic 77'), Bridge (A Cole 45');
Deco (Shevchenko 64'), Mikel, Lampard (Sinclair 77');
Wright-Phillips (Ferreira 45'), Anelka (Di Santo 64'), J Cole (Malouda 45').

Nicolas Anelka and Ashley Cole scored as Chelsea rounded off their Asian tour with 2-0 win over a Malaysian XI, and Scolari's team now has 13 goals from three friendlies, ad all three clean sheets. The pitch in Kuala Lumpur was described 'impossible to play on' by the coach and he added that we were lucky to get away with no injuries. It was humid in the Shah Alam Stadium and I don't know how this plus the bad condition of the pitch would effect the players who already had voiced their disapproval of the tour venues.

The Malaysians were the toughest opposition the Blues have faced on their pre-season tour but once they settled it was almost exclusively Chelsea. Scolari opted for a 4-3-3 starting line-up like he did in the last game. Andriy Shevchenko and newly-arrived Scott Sinclair were on the bench for the first time. Ballack didn't feature yesterday also. Anelka finally opened the scoring in the 26th minute when he was fed through on the left by Joe Cole and slotted home. Scolari made seven substitutions considering the heat and Ashley Cole wasted no time making his mark, getting on the scoresheet after 53 minutes when he tapped in from close range.

Deco has nicely settled down to the Chelsea midfield and its a joy to watch the gifted Portuguese play alongside Lampard. Deco's brilliant volley from a Lampard corner was one such magic moment and reminded us that we are in for a real treat from him in the coming season. Regarding the wingers in the squad; Kalou is to participate in the Olympics while both Malouda and Wright-Phillips might get another chance to prove themselves. Scolari opined that Malouda was wasted out of position last season and that he would like to see Malouda flying down the wing and getting forward like he did for Lyon and France. With Robinho's price increasing faster than oil prices, Chelsea might reconsider buying the winger placed at £30m by Real now. Plus the fact that Scolari is impressed with Wright-Phillips and that would mean Pompeys maybe disappointed in their quest for the little man. Chelsea now travel to Russia to play the Railways Cup also featuring Lokomotiv Moscow, their first opponent, AC Milan and Sevilla.

@Monica
Belletti has already left I think. With Bosingwa and Ferreira around, there is no need of Belletti.

@Alex
Thanks for the mail. I've replied as well. Who all are your friends in MEC?
