He did not come up with something spectacular and out of the ordinary, and did not make any controversial statement as well. Big Phil looked self assured, confident and ready to face the task ahead. He started with English, which was not bad as people said it was, and then later shifted to his native language when confronted by foreign press

Later Frank's agent, Steve Kutner informed that Frank meant he wanted to end his career in Chelsea, but was not happy with the current contract offer made. “He also told him that unfortunately the terms for a new contract cannot be agreed with the board despite discussions having been ongoing for over two years. Scolari who seems sure about Lampard staying has announced that he will remain the vice-captain of the team, with Terry as the captain. "I like him as a captain," said Scolari of Terry. "I like him as a player and as a leader.The captain is John Terry and the second captain is Lampard, but we want more captains on the pitch."
