Bosingwa injured, Belletti I'm sure will leave to Benfica...

Do you think Chelsea's a popular enough club to go all the way to Asia for their pre-season this year? I rather they come to the US.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7963346726093583769.post-35365964344892163982008-07-24T01:25:00.000+05:302008-07-24T01:25:00.000+05:30I was talking about the first team regulars. And at 28, Gerrard can't really be called "old legs".Nithinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16217928467394281224noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7963346726093583769.post-16022654567980101562008-07-24T00:55:00.000+05:302008-07-24T00:55:00.000+05:30@Nithin:Totally agree with you. Quality matters more than age in some cases and, like Aravind said, a 30 yr old Deco is never going to be a liability.

Chelsea don't have to worry about their current squad at least for the coming season. As for the future, they have the money and, more importantly, they have a manager like Scolari who is more than capable of building a strong team.

Btw, is it just me or does everyone else (Man Utd fans excluded) notice that British papers are usually strongly biased in favour of ManU? I mean, even Fergie has admitted that Scolari won't have much of a problem with the current squad, but the guy who wrote that Times Online article keeps on about how ManU have Anderson, Nani, Crissy, Rooney etc.

PS. If youth matters that much, then maybe I should start celebrating for Liverpool. Other than Carra, most of our players are rather young. *grin*Nithinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16217928467394281224noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7963346726093583769.post-90061391529220185262008-07-23T17:50:00.000+05:302008-07-23T17:50:00.000+05:30nice postkeep it upnice post
keep it upVinayakhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14987977684288190671noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7963346726093583769.post-58120466390261142122008-07-23T17:32:00.000+05:302008-07-23T17:32:00.000+05:30Obviously someone who has a title now will only lo...Obviously someone who has a title now will only lose it. So it has to be Fergie than the Blues. Maybe the old buddy should be more concerned about Ronaldo-transfer-circus than bother about opponents having experience, if at all that's some disadvantage as he suggests. According to the old man, experience of Chelsea players are maximum and won't increase any further (entirely new concept), while United players will get better with time (Fletcher will turn into Pele, gice him 5 years time..eh?). Then maybe that should be the case with managers also.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7963346726093583769.post-21524363626560993392008-07-23T16:44:00.000+05:302008-07-23T16:44:00.000+05:30yeah he's losing it. but guess who's losing titles...yeah he's losing it. but guess who's losing titles? Its better to have 'old' Deco's, Ballack's and Essien's than to have 'young' Nani's and Fletcher's.

And maybe old fegie forgot about the signings of Ivanovic and Di Santo.
